Brief Description
Project description: a gigantic Islamic complex and saha that adds to the sahas of Al Haram Al Makki. It includes a mosque with an inner court that hosts 6000 prayers and open outdoor praying areas, in addition to prayer halls for women, a huge Islamic library, conference center, car parking at basement level and number of open recreational sahas.
Scope of work: architectural concept and design development.
Design concept: (King Abdulla ibn abd el aziz Gate) the concept design faced some challenges; the importance and value of the project and its location to Al Haram Al Sharif, so the idea was to promote it from an ordinary mosque to a state of representing the first symbolic gate to Al Haram at King Abdulla ibn abd el aziz avenue. It was manifested in modern abstract style inspired by the spirit of Islamic architecture of Al Aqsa Mosque, while aiming to the future.
